The National Crisis - Food
It is my opinion that the biggest crisis we face short term is industry and in particular Q1 Food. In checking the marketplace there are no offers of Q1 food, the most basic type. Getting it on the market - either through encouraging imports, helping in the creation of private companies or the creation of a government owned company needs to be the top priority. A government company could be established as an interim measure and then either sold or upgraded as may be thought advisable.

Perhaps we could try discussing options with the United States or the UK to establish a consistent supply of grain. At the very least, we should be exploiting the medium grain in Canadian Prairies.

Do we have enough capital for weapons? I would put that as a lower priority at the moment. IMHO

Well I said that wrong.
UK has grain, Australia has Iron. We may do a resource sharing situation

Re: The National Crisis - Food
I'm just wondering if it would possible to buy a grain company somewhere (in the US for example), staff it locally, and sell or import the grain we need into Canada. Of course that would take some Moving Tickets, which we don't have on the Canadian market....

I agree with Sask, the only issue I can see would be the tax from the other country as well as the grain import tax.
Moving tickets are easy enough to purchase en masse on the international market
